Taiwan and Japan International Exchange Symposium
Monday, October 24, 2016, 13:15~18:15 Hirado Cultural Center, Hirado-city, Nagasaki, Japan
Co-organized by:
The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan
The Study Group of Integrated MEMS Technology, The Japan Society of Applied Physics
"The 33rd Sensor Symposium on Sensors, Micromachines, and Application Systems" will be held by Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, at the same time, " The 8th Integrated MEMS Symposium" will be also held by the study group of the integrated MEMS technology at the Japan Society of Applied Physics in Hirado Cultural Center, Hirado-city, from Monday 24th of October to Wednesday 26th October, 2016. "The Japan and Taiwan International Exchange Symposium" will be co-organized by two societies at Monday on 24th October, 2016.
Hirado-city is the birth place of "Zheng Chenggong" (Tei Seiko, his father is Taiwanese and mother is Japanese) who is famous Taiwanese hero. He has been respected as one of "three great men" including Sun Yat-sen (Son Bun) and Chiang Kai-shek (Sho Kai Seki) in the historical events. Hirado is an attractive place for the Taiwanese to visit.
Recently, there are many foundry makers in Taiwan playing the indispensable role of the semiconductor industry in the world. In addition, the integrated MEMS technologies have been actively researched and developed. Thus, from the viewpoint of the locality in Hirado, we planned a symposium to have an opportunity to interchange between Taiwanese and Japanese researchers and specialists. This symposium consists of the invited talks from famous players from both Taiwan and Japan in the sensor and MEMS technology. After the invited talks, a panel discussion is going to hold as titled "Research and Interchange between Taiwan and Japan: so far and from now on". We are looking forward to seeing you at Hirado.
