About SENSOR SYMPOSIUM

Since 1981, SENSOR SYMPOSIUM has been the leading conference for the researchers in sensors, MEMS and their application systems in Japan. Today the symposium became the major annual event for the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ) Sensors and Micromachines Society.

The 33rd SENSOR SYMPOSIUM will be held from October 24 through 26, 2016 in Hirado, Nagasaki, Japan, a port of call for ships between the Asian mainland and Japan since 7th Century.
Two cooperative symposia will be held in the same venue at the same time; (1) Japan and Taiwan International Exchange Symposium co-organized by The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and The Japan Society of Applied Physics’ Study group of Integrated MEMS Technology, and (2) Symposium on Integrated MEMS Technology organized by The Japan Society of Applied Physics.

In the previous symposium which was held in October 2016 in Niigata, Japan, 761 attendees gathered with 424 papers presented.
